Johanna Martinez started working at David’s House Ministries this past November. She began in House One but will be moving over to Willow Tree Lodge this May.
Since beginning at DHMIN, Johanna has been an enormous help by picking up shifts in other homes and making sure residents are cared for.
“I work in all houses when they need the help because of how rewarding it is to be in this community. I enjoy the residents and getting to know their families. They are amazing,” Johanna said.
She also enjoys playing games with the residents and baking with them.
“I have learned so much working at David’s house. It has changed my life! I have changed so much in the way I see things now,” Johanna said.
Her hobbies are going to the gym and spending time with her kids. A quote that inspires her is, “When you have a dream, you’ve got to grab it and never let go.”
This quote means a lot to her because it reminds her that nothing is impossible in life.
