A Future Filled with Peace

For years, Ruth and Mike cared for their daughter Sherry, a joyful and deeply loved part of their family who lives with significant, complex disabilities requiring total care. As time went on, they began to recognize that they would not always be physically able to meet her needs and they wondered who would care for her and provide the life she deserved in the years ahead. They wanted more than basic support and hoped to find a place where she would be truly known, loved, and included. Having seen the care and community at David’s House through their church connections, they eventually felt confident taking the next step when an opportunity became available. Although the transition was difficult, especially after a lifetime of hands-on caregiving, Sherry quickly adapted and began to thrive.

Today, she is surrounded by a loving community, meaningful relationships, and compassionate care, and she happily calls David’s House her home.

For Ruth and Mike, this change has brought a sense of peace. They are now able to rest, travel, and live without constant worry, knowing Sherry is safe, loved, and cared for.

“Now we no longer worry about Sherry like we used to, because we know she is loved, cared for, and has a forever home at David’s House.”
