Celebrating Ruth

This month, we celebrate Ruth as she retires after 15 years of dedicated service to David’s House Ministries. Ruth joined our team in October 2010, just as our third home was newly built and preparing to welcome residents and staff. As House Manager, she played a vital role in hiring and training employees who helped create a warm, caring community.

After nine years in that role, Ruth’s skills and experience led her to become our Quality and Compliance Manager. In 2022, she stepped into her final position as Residential Services Administrator, overseeing house supervisors and ensuring each home operated smoothly with proper records and documentation.

Ruth’s favorite memories come from working alongside residents and co-workers, as well as participating in community events like the Walk-a-Thon, Bowl-a-Thon, and Gala. She has loved watching David’s House grow – not just in buildings, but in the community and staff who make it special.

Faith has always been central to Ruth’s work. She valued being part of a ministry where prayer is welcome and encouraged. A verse that guided her throughout her time here is Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” That truth has been a source of strength for her.

When people think of Ruth, she hopes they remember her as reliable and truly present. Her advice: follow the Platinum Rule, treat others as they want to be treated, and always honor Christ in what you do.

As Ruth steps into retirement, she looks forward to traveling with family, being active in her church and women’s ministry, and enjoying having more time for reading, cooking, and walking.

We are deeply grateful for Ruth’s dedication and the lasting impact she has made at David’s House Ministries. Her presence will be greatly missed, and we wish her all the best in this exciting new chapter.
