Meet Becky Hartwick! Becky is a Team Captain at the Boston and Hampton Houses and has been a part of the David’s House Ministries staff for five years!
She enjoys spending time with the residents and bonding with them and their families. The relationships she has built with the residents keep her excited to go to work every day. Becky helps the ladies by driving them to appointments, assisting with daily care, passing meds, cooking, playing games, and taking them to activities.
“Over the years, I’ve learned how much this job impacts the lives of the residents and how much it has come to mean to me,” Becky said.
One of her favorite things to do with the residents is play games. The residents of Boston and Hampton and Becky find that playing board games is a great way to spend time after a long day of being out in the community. It is also an excellent way for everyone to learn new skills.
“It’s exciting to see them learn and grow,” Becky said.
Outside of working at David’s House, her hobbies include reading, hanging out with friends, and going to the movies. She graduated from Kuyper College with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work and loves her career path.
A fun fact about Becky is that she has been to 44 states, and her goal is to get to all 50.
