Meet Matt! Matt has lived at the David’s House Ministries since 2005!
Being active in his community is very important to him. He works Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at MOKA, a day program that volunteers throughout different communities. He enjoys this program because he has learned how to cook, clean, improve upon other life skills, and attends fun events while he is there.
He also volunteers at Feeding America and Beer City Dog Biscuits and loves going to Fredrik Meijer’s Gardens and the Byron Township Library.
The Ivanrest Home became part of David’s House Ministries in May of 2022. Since then, Matt has enjoyed this change!
“My favorite part about joining David’s House was the Summer Concert Series and the Trunk or Treat because my family was there,” Matt said.
When Matt is not out in the community, he enjoys watching movies, especially comedies.
Sports are also a huge part of his life. Matt plays on the Grandville Little League softball team in the Challenger Bracket. In the summer, he enjoys riding bikes, boating, camping, and tubing.
A fun fact about Matt is that he enjoys saying The Lord’s Prayer every night and before dinner. It is a tradition he started in his home.
