Meet Rachel, who has been with us for the last 3½ years making a difference at David’s House Ministries. Starting as a Direct Support Professional, Rachel has grown into the role of Shift Supervisor, where she continues to impact the lives of residents every day. When it comes to the most rewarding aspect of her job, she said helping residents start their day on a positive note. She enjoys getting them up, getting ready for the day, and cooking their meals. She finds purpose in being a part of their daily routine.
Rachel’s favorite thing at David’s House is the joy of going on outings with the residents. “It’s nice to get the residents out of the homes and into the community,” she shares. These outings not only provide a change of scenery but also create lasting memories for everyone involved. One of her favorite outing trips they regularly do is the zoo or the mall.
Outside of work, you can find Rachel spending quality time going on walks with her husband and daughter and indulging in her passion for cooking. Whether it is preparing a family meal or cooking for friends, she finds joy in sharing good food and fellowship.
Rachel was inspired to join the team at David’s House by her sister, who started working here first. She always sought a role that was both rewarding and meaningful, aligning with her desire to serve God and help others.
Thank you, Rachel, for your dedication and compassion. Your commitment truly makes a difference in the lives of our residents and the community!
