February marks a significant milestone for one of David’s House Ministries dedicated team members, Samantha, as she celebrates two years of being with us. From starting as a Direct Support Professional to now holding the position of Shift Supervisor, her journey has been one of growth, dedication, and making a difference in the lives of the residents.
When asked about her favorite part of the job, the answer is simple: the joy of helping others. “I enjoy helping everyone I can and seeing the joy in the ladies’ eyes every day,” she shared. As a Shift Supervisor, she not only oversees the daily tasks but continues to nurture the same spirit of care and compassion.
What truly stands out about her time at DHMIN, however, isn’t just the milestones or achievements—it’s the memories made every day. “My favorite memory while working at DHMIN is every day, because it’s always a new memory not only for me but for the residents as well.” Each day brings a new opportunity to connect, learn, and grow with the individuals she cares for.
Outside of work, family remains an important part of Samantha’s life. She enjoys spending quality time with loved ones or enjoying their company. Before coming to David’s House, Samantha worked at St. Ann’s Home and found her passion for people with disabilities grow. She came across a job opening at DHMIN through Indeed, a platform she rarely used, so she applied. The opportunity seemed like a sign, a calling for something different. “God leads the way if we listen,” she reflects, believing that sometimes the right path finds you when you’re open to it.
Her story is a testament of the power of God and how He can use any individual for His Kingdom. Whether through helping others, making lasting memories, or simply being present for those in need, she has found a place where both her professional and personal values align.
