Volunteer Recognition Day!

Today is National Volunteer Recognition Day!

Volunteerism is close to our hearts here at David’s House; many volunteers and groups become like family! Due to COVID-19, we have been unable to have visitors or volunteers since early March. Everyone is getting a little stir-crazy and miss having fun with volunteer groups. We had many volunteer activities planned that had to be cancelled or postponed. We are hoping this will all be over soon, and we can get back to seeing our friends again.

We want to celebrate the groups and individuals that were able to volunteer before COVID-19 changed our lives. From January to the beginning of March, we had:

75 volunteers (7 volunteer groups and 9 individual volunteers) –> and a total 167 volunteer hours!! (That equals a lot of fun!) If you, your family, your work, your church, or anyone else you know would be interested in volunteering at David’s House, please reach out to our volunteer coordinators at volunteer@dhmin.org. They would love to chat with you about your interests and possible opportunities. Thank you to all our amazing David’s House Volunteers. The work you do and time you spend here is deeply appreciated and loved. The sky is the limit for volunteer opportunities! Below are a few ideas that other groups have done.
