Meet Rene, our Medical Services Administrator; Rene has worked with David’s House for almost a year and has loved every minute of it.
Rene and her husband Michael were introduced to David’s House through a friend several years ago; they enjoyed participating in all the events they could, and Rene knew that DHM was a place she wanted to be part of on a continuing basis. “Our two children have special needs,” said Rene, “And we have been blessed by so many individuals who have walked alongside each of them throughout their lives. I am thankful for the opportunity here at DHM to share the love we have been shown; it is a privilege to be part of this community and see God at work in so many unique ways.”
As Medical Services Administrator, Rene partners with staff and residents to support the mission of the ministry. Rene has a background in nursing which allows her to assist with medical triage and care coordination. In additon to that, Rene is also able to participate in procedure development and education.
When asked what she likes about her job, Rene said, ‘Everything! Whenever somebody asks me about my job, I always start by telling them I have the best job. My absolute favorites however are the hugs, high-fives, and smiles I can share with the resident family. I love sharing in the joy of the big things like meeting goals and learning new things, but the joy of everyday life at DHM is unbeatable! ‘.
Outside of work, Rene enjoys spending time with family, typically watching a child’s sporting event. Also, she enjoys volunteering at her children’s school. Rene is always glad to spend time with friends. Playing yard games and sitting at backyard bonfires are also one of he most cherished past times.
