One of the things I appreciate about Google photos, besides the ability to store all the photos from my phone, is the flashback/memory reminders from a few years ago. It is so much fun to see how my kids and my family have grown from elementary, middle, high school, and college. The same can be said for looking back on David’s House. When I arrived just over four years ago, we owned four houses serving 35 residents. Since then, we’ve built two homes in our Wyoming community, and this past Spring, we added two houses in Grandville when the Grandville Friendship Homes merged with us. We now serve 61 residents throughout our eight homes. I could never have imagined that when I started working here.
We can all admit the past few years of a pandemic have not been easy on anyone, and yet through it all, God has been great and has continued to help David’s House navigate the uncertainty of the time. In fact, due to some hard work by staff and our donors’ faithful support, we are also working towards future growth.
As you prepare for your Christmas traditions in your family, I hope you’ll take a moment to reflect on the journey you have been on and to thank our Lord for his shepherding hand over your life. We are grateful for the continued support of so many people, and as we continue to chart our course for the future, we praise God that David’s House will continue to impact so many lives.
If you haven’t made an end-of-the-year gift or would like to discuss some other ways you can financially support us, please do not hesitate to reach out. If you have made your end-of-year gift – Thank you!
Remember to take those pictures so you can also reflect in a few years.
Merry Christmas!
